Spectacle Island – Boston Islands

#travelwithgdp Fact: In 2008, Peddocks Island was used for filming scenes in Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island.

Description: Made up of 34 islands and peninsulas, Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park is an urban oasis just minutes from Boston’s city center. Hop aboard a park ferry and discover islands rich with opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation. The Spectacle Island, the one that we went to offered a free ferry ride which was awesome. The islands are tiny, with small treks and great beaches, and a wonderful one day getaway from the city hustle and bustle.
