Bangalore Mangalore Highway

#travelwithgdp Fact: National Highway 75 (NH 75) is a National Highway in India, passing through three states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu. It traverses all three geographical regions of Karnataka state namely Karavali, Malenadu and Bayaluseemae.

Description: If you are driving from Bangalore to Mangalore the road leading up to Sakleshpur is awesome and the dive is really fast. However, once you hit the ghats the adventure really begins. The road will be occasionally smooth when they tar it however within 2 or 3 months it deteriorates due to the rains and the heavy traffic which slows own the journey. However, the drive through the ghats is truly spectacular. There some great South Indian and local restaurant who offer tasty food at nominal costs on the way. The traffic discipline is generally good however you do encounter stray instances of rouge driving by bus drivers.
