 Fact: The Conservatory of Flowers was placed on the 1996 World Monuments Watch by the World Monuments Fund. The Fund aimed to encourage repair rather replacement of the original fabric, and provided funding from financial services company American Express.

Description: The Conservatory of Flowers is a greenhouse and botanical garden that houses a collection of rare and exotic plants in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California. With construction having been completed in 1879, it is the oldest building in the park. A must-see while you’re in San Francisco! It’s located within the huge Golden Gate recreation park complex. Reserve a lot of time to visit as there are lots of interesting flowers from all over the world to see. It’s a really relaxing way to spend an entire day.
